Do cheats disable achievements in Guitar Hero 3?
On Xbox 360 (and RetroAchievements on PS2), the sources say turning on Easy Expert or No Fail blocks achievement unlocks for that session until you restart the game, and your score won't post to the leaderboard. Restart before you go for an achievement. GameFAQs: Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Cheats (PS2/PC/PS3/Xbox 360/Wii)
Can you use these cheats in multiplayer?
Easy Expert and Precision Mode don't work in online play. PSU also warns that the Bret Michaels singer code glitches online play, so turn it off in the Cheats menu before you play online. PSU: Guitar Hero III cheats

- Career mode PSU and GameRevolution both mark No Fail and Easy Expert as unusable in Career mode, so they only help in Quickplay and other modes. PSU: Guitar Hero III cheats
- Bret Michaels singer PSU warns that turning on the Bret Michaels singer code glitches online play. GameRevolution prints the full 18-input sequence used here; a shorter 17-input version also circulates. PSU: Guitar Hero III cheats
- Unlock Everything GameRevolution notes that no sound plays while you enter the Unlock Everything chords, so a silent entry does not mean it failed. GameRevolution: Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Xbox 360 cheats
- Hyperspeed levels PSU says Hyperspeed has five levels, and you cycle through them by pressing Green on the Hyperspeed option in the Cheats menu. PSU: Guitar Hero III cheats
