How to enter cheats in Max Payne
PC
- Right-click your Max Payne shortcut, choose Properties, and add -developer to the end of the Target field.
- Launch the game from that shortcut and load a level.
- Press F12 to open the console, type a code exactly as shown, and press Enter.
Compatibility notes
Which releases these codes apply to, and where one behaves differently. Each note links to the source that documents it.
- Launch parameter Hooked Gamers says the console is only available when maxpayne.exe starts with the -developer parameter, so set it before you launch. Hooked Gamers: Max Payne cheats
- -developerkeys option GameRevolution says a second parameter, -developerkeys, lets you switch character models during play, and warns that switching in the first level drops you onto the train tracks. GameRevolution: Max Payne PC cheats

Yes. Typing god in the console makes you immune to damage; mortal turns it back off.
Is there an all-weapons cheat in Max Payne?
Yes. GetAllWeapons gives you every weapon, and coder adds god mode and infinite ammo on top.
Is there a level select cheat in Max Payne?
Yes. Type maxpayne_gamemode-gm_init(levelname); in the console and replace levelname with a level name such as part2_level1. Hooked Gamers and GameRevolution both list the names.
Can you spawn single weapons in Max Payne?
Yes. Each weapon has its own Get command, such as GetDesertEagle, GetJackhammer or GetSniper.
Why is there no health amount or trainer cheat here?
Hooked Gamers and GameRevolution print c_addhealth with different spacing and different effects, so it is left out. The trainer Hooked Gamers lists for v1.05 is third-party software, not a built-in cheat.
