Compatibility notes
Which releases these codes apply to, and where one behaves differently. Each note links to the source that documents it.
- PC version On PC the cheats are typed words at the Click to continue screen, not button codes. GamesRadar+ lists no typed PC version of the Porsche Cayman or Junkman codes. GamesRadar+: Need For Speed: Most Wanted cheats
- Porsche Cayman S code GamesRadar+ notes reported problems with the Cayman code and says it may not work on every version of the game, so it suggests installing the latest updates first. GamesRadar+: Need For Speed: Most Wanted cheats
- Career mode GamesRadar+ says the Junkman code puts a marker for the Junkman engine part in the back room of the One Stop Shop, and you can only enable it once per career. GamesRadar+: Need For Speed: Most Wanted cheats
- Burger King Challenge Video Games Blogger says the code adds event 69 to the Challenge Series on the main menu. You get Junkman parts for your cars only after you win that event. Video Games Blogger: Need for Speed Most Wanted codes and cheats
- GameCube Castrol code GameRevolution's GameCube list prints the Burger King sequence for the Castrol Ford GT. Video Games Blogger and GamesRadar+ both give Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Down, Up, Down for it, which is the sequence shown here. GameRevolution: Need For Speed Most Wanted GameCube Cheats

How do you enter cheat codes in Need for Speed Most Wanted on PC?
Type the code at the click-to-continue screen before the main menu loads, one code at a time.
Do the cheat codes work on Xbox 360?
Yes. The Xbox 360 version uses the same button codes as the original Xbox release.
Is iammostwanted a real cheat code?
Yes. Typing it on PC unlocks every car in the game.

Why are there only six codes for Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005)?
The guides cited here list only these six built-in codes. Their other entries are gameplay tricks, not codes: a $10,000 bonus on your first car if a Need for Speed Underground 2 save is on the same memory card or hard drive, Quick Race rules carrying over to the same Career race, and reloading to retry blacklist boss markers.
