Pokemon Cheats: Action Replay and GameShark

The handheld Pokemon games have no cheat menu of their own, so their codes are written for a cheat device: GameShark, Action Replay or CodeBreaker. We cover 4 games.

A code only works on the device and the game version it was made for, so each guide lists both, and we publish only the codes we could confirm.

FAQ

Can I use these without a cheat device?

Only in an emulator with a cheat function, which accepts the same code format. On original hardware you need the device itself.

Will these codes corrupt my save?

They can. Codes that create items or modify Pokemon are the usual cause of a broken save or an unusable trade. Back up the save first.
