Privacy policy
CheatArcade is a static reference site for game cheat codes. It has no accounts, no comments, no forms and no advertising, so there is very little to collect and nothing to sell. This page explains exactly what happens when you open a page here.

Who is responsible
CheatArcade.com publishes this site and decides how the limited data described below is handled. For anything on this page, write to contact@cheatarcade.com.
What we do not do
We do not show advertising and we do not run advertising or profiling scripts. We do not build profiles of you, we do not make automated decisions about you, and we do not sell, rent or share personal data. Fonts, styles and images are all served from this site itself. One third party is involved, and only for visitor statistics: it is described in the next section.
Visitor statistics
We use Clicky, run by Roxr Software Ltd. in the United States, to count visits and see which guides people actually use. When you open a page, Clicky receives that page address, the page that sent you here, your screen size, language, time zone, browser and IP address, from which it derives an approximate location. It is set up to store nothing on your device: when we last checked, it placed no cookies. We do not use it to identify individuals and we do not combine it with any other source. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing which guides are worth keeping and writing (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because Clicky is based in the United States, this data leaves the EU under the transfer terms in its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Clicky on every site that uses it at clicky.com/optout.
Server logs
Our web server keeps standard access logs so the site stays online and secure: the IP address making the request, the page requested, the date and time, the referring page and the browser's user-agent string. We use them to diagnose errors and to spot abuse such as scraping or attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The site runs on a virtual server rented from Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany, which processes these logs on our behalf; they are not transferred outside the EU. Each log file is rotated automatically once it reaches 20 MB and only the five most recent files are kept, so entries are deleted as new traffic arrives.
Stored on your device
Guide pages remember which platform tab you picked, for example PC or PlayStation, using your browser's local storage. This is not a cookie, it never leaves your device, and it is not sent to us or to anyone else. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Links to other sites
Every guide lists the sources its codes were checked against, and those links go to other websites, such as game wikis and publishers' support pages. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies. We have no control over what they collect.
Children
The site is aimed at a general audience and collects no personal details from anyone, children included. There is nothing here to sign up for.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy. In practice the only personal data involved is in the server logs and the visitor statistics above, and neither is linked to a name. Write to contact@cheatarcade.com and tell us the approximate date and the IP address so we can find the entries. You can also complain to a data protection authority; in Romania that is ANSPDCP.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics, advertising or any other third-party service, we will describe it here and change the date above before it goes live. Where the law requires consent, we will ask for it first.
