How to enter cheats in Red Dead Redemption

PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Switch & PC

  1. Pause the game and open Options, then Cheats.
  2. Press Triangle (PlayStation), Y (Xbox), X (Switch) or F (PC) to open a text box.
  3. Type the phrase exactly as written and confirm it.
  4. The cheat stays in your list, so you can switch it on or off anytime.

Do cheats disable achievements in Red Dead Redemption?

Yes, for that save. GamesRadar+ and the Red Dead Wiki say any active cheat blocks Achievements and Trophies and disables autosave, and switching it off again does not fix it.
