Before you cheat

Commands that need testingcheats true turn off Achievements and Trophies for that save on PlayStation and Xbox; build mode (bb.) commands don't need testingcheats, so they don't disable Achievements.
There's no reliable console command to stop Sims from aging; the closest built-in trick is dragging the age slider in Create a Sim with cas.fulleditmode on, or use Options Gameplay Auto Age.
Many skill, career and other cheats only show up if you own the matching expansion, game pack or stuff pack, which this guide names next to each one.
The build mode resize (Shift + ]/[), quarter-tile (Ctrl + F) and free-placement (Alt) tricks need a keyboard and mouse; they don't have a controller equivalent on PlayStation or Xbox.
Make a backup save before cheating - bb.moveobjects, career cheats and skill cheats are easy to overdo, and testingcheats false won't undo changes you've already made.

Do Sims 4 cheats disable achievements?

Yes, but only for commands that need testingcheats true first, and only on PlayStation and Xbox. Build mode commands like the bb. ones don't disable Achievements.
