PC
- Add -debug_mode to the game's launch options (Steam: right-click the game, Properties, General, Launch Options), or use the Paradox Launcher's Open game in Debug Mode option.
- Start the game, then press the grave/tilde key (~) to open the console. On some keyboards use Shift+2, Shift+3, or §.
- Hover a character's portrait to see their character ID, then type a command and press Enter.
How to enable developer mode in Crusader Kings 3
- In Steam, right-click Crusader Kings III, choose Properties, General, and add -debug_mode to Launch Options. On GOG, Xbox Game Pass or a Windows shortcut, add the same flag.
- Or open the Paradox Launcher, go to Game Settings, and use the Open game in Debug Mode option, then Launch.
