Diablo 2 Commands: Full List of Chat Commands for PC

PC Press Enter to open the chat box, type the command and press Enter again.
Single player Type /players 8 in a solo game to get party-sized monsters, drops and experience.
Console There is no chat box: use the Offline Difficulty Scaling slider in Game Settings instead.

Single-player difficulty

Player count	PC`/players 1-8`	Scales monsters, drops and experience as if that many players were in the game. Single player only, from patch 1.09 on, and you cannot set it lower than the number of players already in the game

Chat and channels

Join a channel	PC`/channel join [Channel Name]`	Joins that channel, or creates a private one if it does not exist yet. The channel name is case sensitive

Rejoin channel	PC`/rejoin`	Rejoins the channel you are in, which helps after a desync
Create clan channel	PC`/clan (your name)`	Creates a private clan channel with your name as the title
Join and leave alerts	PC`/d2notify`	Turns the channel enter and leave notifications on or off
List channel users	PC`/who (channel)`	Lists all the characters in the channel you name
Your account info	PC`/whoami`	Displays your own account information to you
Look up a player	PC`/whois (player)`	Displays that player's information to you
Reply to last message	PC`/reply`	Replies to the last message sent

Friends, ignore and status

Cheat	Command	Effect
Ignore a player	PC`/ignore (player)`	Squelches messages from that player. In Resurrected this command replaced the old /squelch
Stop ignoring	PC`/unignore (player)`	Turns the squelch off for that player
Friends list	PC`/f list`	Shows everyone on your friends list and their current status
Add a friend	PC`/f add (accountname)`	Adds that account to your friends list; the list holds 25 names
Remove a friend	PC`/friends remove (accountname)`	Removes that account from your friends list
Move a friend up	PC`/friends promote (accountname)`	Moves that friend up one slot, or to the number you type
Mute whispers	PC`/options ignorewhispers`	Ignores whispers from anyone who is not on your friends list
Unmute whispers	PC`/options unignorewhispers`	Re-allows whispers from all users
Away message	PC`/away (reason)`	Shows your away status and the reason you give to anyone who messages you
Do not disturb	PC`/dnd (reason)`	Blocks all incoming messages and sends the reason you give back to the sender

How to enter cheats in Diablo 2

In a game (PC)

Start or join a game.
Press Enter to open the chat box.
Type the command, for example /players 8.
Press Enter to run it.

Battle.net chat (PC)

Log in and go to the chat screen.
Type a command such as /f list or /channel join Trade.
Press Enter to send it.

Console (offline)

Open Settings and pick the Game Settings tab.
Go to Offline and move the Offline Difficulty Scaling slider between 1 and 8.
Start a new game session for the setting to apply.

Can you use these cheats in multiplayer?

Maxroll files /players under single-player tips, and PureDiablo says it works in single player only, so in an online game the difficulty follows the real player count. /nopickup is the exception Maxroll notes as working in multiplayer games too. Original Diablo II, patch 1.09 and later PureDiablo lists /players 1-8 as a single-player command that only exists from v1.09 on, and says it cannot be set below the number of players actually in the game. PureDiablo: Diablo 2 Commands and Command line Commands

FAQ

How do you use /players 8 in Diablo 2?

Start a single-player or offline game, press Enter, type /players 8 and press Enter again. Monsters, drops and experience then scale as if eight players were in the game.

Does /players work in online games?

No. It works in single player only and needs patch 1.09 or later. On console you use the Offline Difficulty Scaling slider, which is also offline only.

Does Diablo 2 have a console or cheat commands?

No. There is no developer console, no god mode and no item commands. The chat box commands on this page are everything the game itself gives you.

How do you show FPS in Diablo 2: Resurrected?
