Compatibility notes
Which releases these codes apply to, and where one behaves differently. Each note links to the source that documents it.
- Xbox drift tracks code Cheat Code Central, GameRevolution and NFSCars all list the Xbox code for every Drift track as four Rights, then Left, Black, R, White. That is the mirror of the PS2 code, which starts with four Lefts, so don't copy the PS2 order across. Cheat Code Central: Need For Speed: Underground cheats for Xbox
- Xbox drag tracks code Cheat Code Central starts the Xbox Drag tracks code with Right, X, Left, while GameRevolution and NFSCars start it with Left, X, Right. Because the sources disagree, the Xbox version is left off this page. Cheat Code Central: Need For Speed: Underground cheats for Xbox
- PC entry key NFSCars says you back out of the Statistics menu with Backspace before typing a code, not Delete. If one key does nothing, try the other. NFSCars: Need For Speed Underground Cheats
- Sponsor cars The Need for Speed Wiki says sponsor cars can't be customised and can only be driven in Quick Race or unranked multiplayer races, not in Underground mode. Need for Speed Wiki: Need for Speed: Underground cars

FAQ
How do you enter cheat codes in Need for Speed Underground?
On PC, go to Statistics from the main menu, press Delete to back out, then type the code and press Enter. On PS2, Xbox and GameCube, enter the button sequence at the main menu.
Is there a money cheat in Need for Speed Underground?
No. The built-in codes unlock cars, tracks and parts, not cash.
Do the codes work in Underground mode?
They're meant for Quick Race and general play; Underground mode's own cars and parts still need to be earned normally.
Is there an unlock-all-cars code in Need for Speed Underground?
No single code unlocks every car — each car has its own code.
Do cheat codes work on GameCube?
Yes. GameCube has button codes for the four track types and for drift physics. Enter them at the main menu.
