How to enter cheats in Plague Inc
All platforms
- Beat every plague type in the main game to unlock the first four cheats.
- Beat every plague type again on Mega Brutal difficulty to unlock the remaining cheats, including the Cure Mode set.
- Start a new game, open the Genetic Code screen, and toggle on the cheats you want.
Do cheats disable achievements in Plague Inc?
Mostly yes. The official wiki says achievements, new genes and new disease types cannot be earned while a cheat is active, and scores do not count. The exceptions are Normal Shuffle and Mega-Brutal Shuffle, which need Shuffle Strain, and Bingo! and Lottery Winner!, which need Lucky Dip Strain. Official Plague Inc. Wiki: Cheats
Compatibility notes
Which releases these codes apply to, and where one behaves differently. Each note links to the source that documents it.
- Second set of cheats The wiki's cheat page says the last ones need every plague beaten on Mega Brutal, but an NdemicTech post in the Steam discussion says beating them all on Brutal unlocks the rest, and Mega Brutal should count too. Steam Community: Unlock Cheatmodes achievement discussion
- Pity Mode (Evolved only) The wiki's difficulty page says Pity Mode lets cheats unlock by beating all standard plagues on Normal and Brutal instead of Brutal and Mega-Brutal. Official Plague Inc. Wiki: Difficulty
- Achievement exceptions The official wiki says Normal Shuffle and Mega-Brutal Shuffle need Shuffle Strain, and Bingo! and Lottery Winner! need Lucky Dip Strain, so these four can only be earned with a cheat on. Official Plague Inc. Wiki: Cheats
- Scenarios The official wiki says Turbo Strain has no effect in scenarios with a preset starting country, such as Nipah, Frozen Virus and Unknown Origin, and Hidden Strain does not work with Neurax Worm. Official Plague Inc. Wiki: Cheats

No. It has no console; its cheats are toggles on the Genetic Code screen that you unlock by beating plague types.

Beat every plague type in the main game for the first four cheats, then beat every plague type again on Mega Brutal difficulty for the rest.

Mostly. Achievements, new unlocks and scores are off while a cheat is active, except Normal Shuffle, Mega-Brutal Shuffle, Bingo! and Lottery Winner!, which need a cheat.
