- Type a command starting with /, for example /god, and press Enter.
How to enable developer mode in Quake III Arena
- Press ~ (tilde) to open the console.
- Type /devmap followed by a map name and press Enter. This loads the map as a listen server with cheats and development features on.
- Once the map has loaded, type a cheat with a / or \ in front, for example /god.
- If you loaded the map with /map instead, reload it with /devmap, because the cheats need sv_cheats on.
Can you use these cheats in multiplayer?
Quake Wiki marks god, give and the other cheats as needing sv_cheats on, and says /devmap starts a listen server with cheats enabled.
