Compatibility notes
Which releases these codes apply to, and where one behaves differently. Each note links to the source that documents it.
- Expansions and Triple Thrill Pack Wikipedia describes the Triple Thrill Pack (2004) as the base game plus the Wacky Worlds and Time Twister expansions, and the Steam and GOG releases as digital versions of the same game, so these editions share one engine. None of the sources lists different names for them. Wikipedia: RollerCoaster Tycoon 2
- RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic Wikipedia says Classic combines the first two games on the RCT2 engine, rewritten in C++ for mobile in 2016 and released on PC in 2017. ChapterCheats says the guest-name easter eggs from both games still work there. Wikipedia: RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic
- Names from the first game GameRevolution's RCT2 list also includes Tony Day, John Mace and Andy Hine. Those three are missing from the RCT2 name table in OpenRCT2 and from the Classic list, so they are left out here. GameRevolution: Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 PC cheats
What the codes mean
- Chris Sawyer Wikipedia names Chris Sawyer as the person who designed and programmed RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. A guest with his name becomes a photographer.
- Simon Foster Wikipedia's infobox credits Simon Foster as the game's artist. A guest with his name walks around painting pictures of rides.

Open a guest's window, click the rename button and type one of the cheat names, such as Chris Sawyer or Melanie Warn.
Is there a money cheat in RollerCoaster Tycoon 2?

ChapterCheats says the guest-name easter eggs from RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 and 2 still work in RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic.
