PC
- Press Ctrl + Shift + C during gameplay to open the console.
- Type boolProp testingcheatsenabled true first for extra Shift-click menus.
- Type a command and press Enter.
How to enable developer mode in Sims 2
- Press Ctrl + Shift + C, type boolProp testingcheatsenabled true and press Enter.
- Shift-click a Sim, the mailbox or another object to open the debug menus. The Sims Wiki says leaving the cheat on is safe, but misused debug objects can corrupt a save.
- To start the game in debug mode every time, put a userstartup.cheat file with the line boolProp testingcheatsenabled true in Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Config. The wiki says loadLot only works this way.
- In Create a Sim, press Shift + N to turn on debug mode and Shift + M to turn it off.
