How to enter cheats
Secret seeds
- Start creating a new world.
- Type the phrase into the seed field on the world creation screen. Capitals, spaces and special characters are ignored.
- The seed is now discovered, and you can switch it on or off in the seed menu.
- Create the world.
Server commands
- Start a Terraria dedicated server and load a world.
- Click the server console window.
- Type the command with no slash in front and press Enter.
Compatibility notes
Which releases these codes apply to, and where one behaves differently. Each note links to the source that documents it.
- Version 1.4.5 and later The Terraria Wiki dates the secret seeds to Desktop 1.4.5.0, released on 27 January 2026, with 35 seeds. Electric Boogaloo and Calm before the storm came later, in Desktop 1.4.5.7, so those two codes do nothing on an older build. Terraria Wiki: Secret world seeds

Terraria has no cheat console. Its built-in codes are the secret world seeds, typed into the seed field of a new world, and the dedicated server console commands.
