Compatibility notes
Which releases these codes apply to, and where one behaves differently. Each note links to the source that documents it.
- Enhanced Edition patch 2.0 IESDP says patch 2.0 moved the Debug Mode setting from Baldur.ini to Baldur.lua, and that commands take the short C: prefix from 2.0 on, where older builds use CLUAConsole:. IESDP: CLUA Console (BG and BG2 Enhanced Editions)
- Original release, baldur.ini Sorcerer's Place puts Debug Mode=1 under [Program Options] in baldur.ini, and says to write Cheats=1 under [Game Options] if that line does not work in your copy. Sorcerer's Place: Baldur's Gate II Cheat Codes
- Experience cap and item charges Sorcerer's Place says SetCurrentXP will not push past the game's 2.95 million XP cap, and that an item with two abilities, like the Wand of Fire, needs two charge numbers or one ability stays empty. Created magic items also have to be identified. Sorcerer's Place: Baldur's Gate II Cheat Codes
- Max stats key The two sources give different keys for the same cheat: Sorcerer's Place lists Ctrl+Shift+8 for the original, while IESDP lists Ctrl+8 on the stat screen for the Enhanced Editions. IESDP: CLUA Console (BG and BG2 Enhanced Editions)
