Compatibility notes
Which releases these codes apply to, and where one behaves differently. Each note links to the source that documents it.
- Master codes Smartprix says to enter the master code D8BAE4D9 4864DCE5 / A86CDBA5 19BA49B3 before other codes; those are the first two lines of the money code here. Cheat Code Central's Master Ball code uses a different master code starting B749822B CE9BFAC1, so the lists disagree. Smartprix: Pokemon Emerald Game Cheat Codes
- Visual Boy Advance and cartridges Cheat Code Central enters codes in Visual Boy Advance through Tools > Cheats > List Cheats, and says that on real hardware the same codes need a GameShark, Action Replay or Code Breaker device. Cheat Code Central: Pokemon Emerald Cheats
- Berry Master's wife GameFAQs says she accepts only one phrase per day, so collecting all five berries takes five in-game days. GameFAQs: Pokemon Emerald Version Cheats
- Mystery Gift vs Mystery Event GameFAQs gives LINK TOGETHER WITH ALL for Emerald's Mystery Gift. The MYSTERY EVENT IS EXCITING phrase on the same page sits under Ruby, not Emerald. GameFAQs: Pokemon Emerald Version Cheats
FAQ
Is there a money cheat in Pokemon Emerald?
Yes. One GameShark code gives you infinite money.
How do you enter GameShark codes in Pokemon Emerald?
On an emulator like mGBA or My Boy!, add a new GameShark cheat and paste the code exactly as shown. On a real cartridge, enter it into your GameShark, Action Replay or CodeBreaker device.
Do these codes need a master code?
Cheat Code Central lists the GameShark codes on this page without a separate master code, and the money code already starts with one. Smartprix says to enter D8BAE4D9 4864DCE5 / A86CDBA5 19BA49B3 first, so add those lines if a code does nothing.
Can Walk Through Walls corrupt my save?
Yes. It can trap or corrupt your save if you save while out of bounds, so back up your save first.
Why are Master Ball and wild Pokemon modifier codes missing?
Cheat Code Central also prints Master Ball, wild Pokemon, level and nature modifier codes, plus Code Breaker shop codes. The Master Ball and wild Pokemon codes rely on master codes the sources print differently, and the shop codes are templates you edit by hand, so they are left out.
