Compatibility notes
Which releases these codes apply to, and where one behaves differently. Each note links to the source that documents it.
- US release only Almar's Guides labels every one of these codes for the USA cartridge and prints no versions for European or Japanese copies. Almar's Guides: Pokemon Platinum Action Replay Codes (USA)
- Delta emulator (iOS) Retro Dodo lists the same codes for the Delta emulator and warns that running too many at once can crash the game, so turn on one at a time and save between them. Retro Dodo: Best Pokemon Platinum Cheats
- Shiny code Both Almar's Guides and Retro Dodo say the shiny code does nothing until you open your Trainer Card and press R+A; L+A on the same screen turns it off. Almar's Guides: Pokemon Platinum Action Replay Codes (USA)
FAQ
Is there a money cheat in Pokemon Platinum?
Yes. One Action Replay code maxes out your money when you press L+R.
How do you enter Action Replay codes in Pokemon Platinum?
On melonDS or DeSmuME, open the cheat manager, add a new AR code, and paste every line exactly as shown. On a real DS, enter the code into your Action Replay DS cartridge.
Do these codes need a master code?
No. Action Replay DS recognizes officially licensed carts like Platinum on its own.
Can Walk Through Walls corrupt my save?
Yes. It can put your save into a state a normal reset won't fix, so save before turning it on and turn it off when you're done.
Why aren't the all-items and full Sinnoh Pokedex codes listed?
Retro Dodo prints very long codes for both, but no second source here carries them, so they are left out rather than risk a typo in a hundred-line code.
